Greenspan blasts Mexican president for 'compromising' Ianiero case

Perhaps Ed has forgotten that we're talking third-world Mexico here. Unlike Pierre Trudeau's Canada, the Mexican state is into everyone's bedroom, and the cops, and...

Prominent criminal lawyer Greenspan has lashed out at Vicente Fox saying the Mexican president should not have interfered with the investigation into the slaying of a Canadian couple at a Cancun-area resort.

"No president of a state should get involved," Edward Greenspan said during a news conference in Toronto. "No president should give marching orders to the police."

"This investigation has turned into some form of political football," he said. "It will be impossible to reach a fair conclusion."

He added that Mexican authorities have "botched" the investigation, and accused Fox of compromising the probe to the point that it would be difficult to find the real murderer. The Mexican president seemed more interested in protecting the tourist industry than in finding the person responsible for the crime.

Improved RSS Newsfeeds

For your viewing pleasure I have improved my RSS newsfeeds. The feeds should be more readable and now come in three flavours.

You have three options to choose from:

1. Full Feed (the entire post);

2. Excerpts only (a short intro to the post); or

3. Just Headlines only (self explanatory).

There are also three new options for joining my email newsletter. Just look at the right menu under the "Subscribe" menu.

Cheers!
