Control Freak Harper Shames War Heros

This sounds all too familiar --- aka George W. Bush:

MPs, soldiers' families criticize media ban on return of dead soldiers

Defence Minister Gordon O'Connor
Relatives of soldiers killed in Afghanistan are reacting with dismay to changes by the new Conservative government in the way Canada's war dead are commemorated -- changes made without the input of military families.

Families, military officials, opposition parties and even some Tory MPs criticized a decision to ban journalists from covering a repatriation ceremony for fallen soldiers returning to Canadian soil.

Many are also unhappy that flags on Parliament Hill will no longer be lowered to half-mast when a soldier is killed in the line of duty.
Makes you want to join the military doesn't it? Get yourself killed in action for your country and it turns it's back on you.

Unbelievable hypocrisy! The first thing he did as Prime Minister was to meet the troops in Afghanistan for a photo-op, and now he tries to hide the fact that real Canadians are being maimed and killed over there.

It's called Denial Mr. Harper!

Either stay in the war or get out. BUT do not dishonor our troops!

This is an old Bush trick. If no one sees the bodys, no one will think he KILLED 2439 american soldiers. Or 40,000 innocent Iraqi civilians. I guess this is what happens when Canadians elect a Bush clone for PM. What's next? Repeal the gay marrige act? Oh yeah, that's a Bush thing too. Sorry.
