The House opened today and our elected omnipoobahs will start earning their exorbitant pay cheques. Boring speeches laced with self-gratifying rhetoric await us all.
What’s on everybody’s mind is how long will this government last. With all the interloculatory jockeying, many (like the Edmonton Sun) are predicting it to be short and sweet.
My bet is less than a year but not any time soon. I don’t believe the Libs will try to take them down without first electing a leader. A mistake right now could cost them a majority conservative government.
If they’re smart they will let Harper harpoon himself and show his true colors. Then go for the jugular.

Yo uwill find that the Conservatives will continue to grow into the role of government and may well last longer than you think. I would,t discount PM Harper too soon.
